This is to inform you that as part of annual price revision UPS has proposed a price revision effective 1st January2024. This is applicable to their “Express Saver” shipping service. To understand the impact, we’re providing a summary of the rate increase below.

Overall base freight increased by 7% to USA, UK, DE and other EU locations being served by UPS.

While base freights are increased, UPS is providing EGS users with the waiver on their surcharges like:

100% waiver on Remote Area Surcharge, Extended Area Surcharge – Delivery, Delivery Area Surcharge - Delivery (US only)

100% waiver on Address Correction charges

100% waiver on Duty/Tax Forwarding Surcharges and Delivered Duty Paid, V.A.T Unpaid (DDP) Surcharges

High value cargo Export customs clearance charge is fixed at INR 1100 per shipment

100% waiver on Residential Delivery Surcharge which were incurring on 65% of UPS shipments

For example, if your shipment was destined to USA, for a shipment that weights 1000 gm, the base freight at present is coming to INR 1773. However, if incurred a residential delivery area surcharge total freight would be coming to ~ INR 2063.Going forward combined with the waiver of surcharges and price increase, the total price would be ~ INR 1897 (7% over 1773) which is lesser than earlier price by ~8%
