There is an over all delay in the transit time due to the tremendous pressure to clear the backlog of pending shipments and packages stuck at the airports. The backlog is also due to the 100% customs check of the shipments at the origin and with flight capacity across the world continuing to be constant, there are inordinate delays in the connection, transit and next level scans of shipments on which LSPs have limited control currently.
