Aramex Shipment Rules & Policies

Please find below the Rules and Policies when you are using Aramex Express (I) Pvt Ltd’s Services (hereafter referred to as “Company”) for your eBay CBT shipment:

  1. This particular service offered by Aramex Express (Logistics Partner) is according to the eBay Agreement and in accordance with the conditions of carriage of the Company which shall be available on Aramex Portal. By accepting these terms and conditions you are bound by Conditions of Carriage in respect of the Services and shall include compliance of Conditions of Carriage as an essential covenant in its terms and conditions binding on You.
  2. You shall be required to upload the order details on Logistic Partner’s website and generate Airway-bill number. Only system generated Airway Bills will be accepted, Any shipment shipped using Manual Airway Bill will be treated as “Off eBay Transaction Shipment ” and in the event eBay seller ships using Manual Airway Bill, that shipment shall be charged to your eBay seller (Shipper) Account Number with Aramex Express at published tariff of Aramex Express. For more clarity, Off eBay Transaction Shipment shall be charged at published tariff of Aramex Express and not as per rate mentioned in eBay CBT Shipment Fee Policy.
  3. Once you have uploaded the order details on Logistics Partner’s website and generated Airway-bill number, it shall be deemed that you are ready to handover the parcel to Logistics Partner for delivery to the buyer.
  4. Thereafter, the Logistics Partner will organize to pick up the Item(s) only from your registered address available in the registered address section of your eBay Account.
  5. Company will do daily pickups of consignments from the eBay Sellers between 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM except Sundays and Public Holidays as per the instruction
  6. Company shall pick-up the shipment/s subject to the following documents given by You:

Aramex Express Air Waybill (which shall be filled and generated by the eBay Seller using the automated tool provided by Company free of cost) , Invoice Copy and required regulatory documents including prescribed Know Your Customer (“KYC”) documents, IEC code document . In case the above condition is not met, the Company shall refuse to pick the shipment/s and intimate eBay by email within 24 hours.
  8. You shall ensure that all Item(s), when packed and ready for dispatch shall display the shipping details which shall include the Item Number, consignee details, address of delivery, Assigned Airway Bill Number of Logistics Partner. In the event such details are not marked on any Item(s), Logistics Partner shall have the right to refuse to accept the Item(s) for delivery under the eBay CBT Shipment Facility and under this Agreement. Further, in the event the shipping details provided by you to Logistics Partner is/are incorrect, you shall be solely liable to the buyer for such consequences as may arise due to provision of such incorrect shipping details and consequent non-delivery / lost shipments.
  9. You need to ensure that you use non Aramex Express branded packaging for shipping items through this arrangement and in the event they use any Aramex Express branded packaging for shipping the shipment/s, the price for the same shall be charged to your eBay seller (Shipper) Account Number with Aramex Express at published tariff.
  10. You need to ensure that eBay Aramex Express Account Number is mentioned in the -Payer Account section of the Aramex Express Air Waybill failing which you shall be charged at Aramex Express published tariff
  11. In the event you are using same Logistics Partner to send your non eBay Website transacted Items, you must mark them as “Off eBay Transaction”.
  12. You shall hand over the Item(s) to Logistics Partner in a tamper proof packaging with bubble wrapping and proper cushioning and packing along with the shipping details, as mentioned in section 5&6 above and pasted on the Item(s).
  13. Company shall ensure that the Shipments handed over by eBay Sellers on a particular day as per the field cut off defined by the Company from time to time are connected / forwarded to destination on the same day subject to the Conditions of Carriage. The Company shall provide the cut off timings for respective locations to eBay.
  14. Logistics Partner shall carry the Item(s) through its network for delivery to the buyer of Item(s). In the event of a conflict or difference in the address provided by you to the Logistics Partner and the shipping details pasted by you on the Item(s), Logistics Partner shall have the right to refuse to pick-up the Item(s).
  15. Aramex has the right to open and inspect a Shipment without notice.
  16. Upon receipt of Item(s) from you, For delivery in Europe ,Logistics Partner shall make maximum 3 (three) attempts to deliver the Item(s) to the buyer. In case the consignment remains undelivered in the first attempt will drop the card to consignee for call back from consignee. Company shall reattempt in next cycle within working hours.In the event the Logistics Partner is unable to deliver the Item(s) to the buyer in these 3 (three) attempts, the Logistics Partner will return such Item(s) to you provided the charges for such return shall be solely borne and incurred by you. Logistics Partner shall, and eBay may communicate to you a list of undelivered Item(s) on a regular basis.
  17. For your shipments shipped using eBay CBT Shipment Facility, You shall be charged basis the higher of actual or volumetric weight ((Length X Breadth X Height (all in cms))/5000). In case of any discrepancy in the weight entered by you, Logistics Partner shall enter the correct weight and the same shall be considered as final for computation of the final shipment charges.
  18. Company won’t be able to pick-up any shipment with PO box address. All shipment should have physical address of consignee
  19. For non-delivered shipments, Company shall take a confirmation from the eBay Seller on email to get the shipment back . On receiving such an instruction on email, Company shall communicate to the eBay seller of the RTO charges including duties, taxes and penalties, if any. Once agreed and confirmed by eBay Seller, such a shipment shall then be returned to the eBay seller and the RTO charges then shall be billed to eBay Seller’s Aramex Express Account Number (Shipper Account). Company confirms that Company shall not invoice eBay for the RTO charges and eBay shall not take any responsibility for this.
  20. Proof of Delivery (POD) is available on Aramex Express.com up to maximum of 45 days from the date of delivery.
  21. Company must declare final status of the shipments such as delivered/RTO/damaged/lost in transit within 10 days from the date of dispatch. If the shipment is declared as lost or damaged, the liability of the Company to eBay/ eBay Seller shall as under: AramexE will declare lost or damage against the complaint received from shipper or ebay, as a process we shall update the status within 10 working days of shipping proactive or reactive.
  22. If the shipment is declared as lost or damaged, the liability of the Company to eBay/ eBay Seller shall as under:
    Unless the eBay Seller enters a higher Declared Value for Carriage on the Aramex Express Air Waybill and pays the required fee, the liability of the Company is limited to the higher of
    • the amount provided by the applicable international convention;
    • 25USD per kilogram; or invoice value whichever is lower.
  23. Circumstances Beyond Aramex’s Control
    Aramex is not liable for any loss or damage arising out of circumstances beyond Aramex’s control. These include but are not limited to:-
    • electrical or magnetic damage to, or erasure of, electronic or photographic images, data or recordings; any defect or characteristic related to the nature of the Shipment, even if known to Aramex; any act or omission by a person not employed or contracted by Aramex - e.g. Shipper, Receiver, third party, customs or other government official;
    • “Force Majeure” - e.g. earthquake, cyclone, storm, flood, fog, war, plane crash or embargo, riot or civil commotion, industrial action.
  24. Time Limits for Claims: All claims must be submitted in writing to Aramex within thirty (30) days from the date that Aramex accepted the Shipment, failing which Aramex shall have no liability whatsoever.
  25. Customs duty, taxes & other charges, if any, (“the charges”) applicable to the shipment at the port of origin or the port of destination shall be paid by the eBay Buyer on or before the delivery of shipment. If the eBay buyer refuses to pay the charges, the company shall not deliver the item to the eBay buyer and the same shall be marked as “eBay buyer refused” and shall be returned to eBay Seller and eBay seller shall be required to pay the charges on handover of the item by the Company to eBay Seller RTO process and charges have been specified above.
  26. In the event there are any applicable custom duties or other entry fees/octroi/ charges, etc. [Custom duties and Fees] leviable on the Shipments shipped by you using eBay CBT Shipment Facility, whether at the port of origin or at the port of destination, the Logistics Partner shall reach out to the buyer of your products / items for payment of such Custom duties and Fees. In the event eBay buyer refuses to pay such Custom duties and Fees, Logistics Partner will communicate to you about such refusal and seek your instructions. Basis your instructions, Logistics Partner shall either pay the Custom duties and Fees on your/buyer’s behalf or return the shipment to you. In the event you fail to provide appropriate instructions to Logistics Partner, Logistics Partner may, at its sole discretion, dispose / sell your shipment in order to recover its Shipment charges / any other amount payable by you to Logistics Partner and in such an event, you shall have no recourse on the shipment or any claims against the Logistics Partner.
  27. For all non eBay transaction shipments, eBay will communicate of such shipments to the Company and the Company shall charge the eBay Seller the cost of transportation of such shipment at Aramex Express published tariff.
  28. You shall be required to maintain a record for your shipments and have the same signed or acknowledged by Logistics Partner before you hand over the Item(s) for dispatch. eBay shall not be obliged to recognize any claim, complaints, disputes raised by You if You fail to comply with this section.
  29. As and when needed, Logistics Partner may on a best effort basis assist and provide support to You in real time integration with processes for shipment, delivery and other related details.
