How to Cancel a Shipment Booked: Step-by-Step guide:
Step 1
Proceed to the Shipment selection page
- Click on the “Shipment History” tab on the left-hand side menu of EGS platform
- Click on the “History” tab and you will be able to see all your shipments booked till date.
- You can refine your filter of the shipments by their “airway bill (“AWB”) number” or “Buyer ID” or “Booked Date” or “Shipment Status”.
Step 2
Select the AWB which you may like to cancel.
- In the AWBs that are listed, select the AWB(s) you want to cancel and click on the “red cross” button to cancel the shipment.
- Alternatively, you can open the shipment details by clicking on “AWB number” displayed or “arrow mark” provided and click on “Cancel” button provided at the bottom of the page.
- Please note that you can only cancel your shipments within 24 hours of its booking and before its pick up by the Logistic Services Provider (“LSP”).
- In case of you want to cancel the shipment after 24 hours of its booking, kindly raise “Shipment Cancellation” dispute on Resolution Center.
Step 3
Confirm the Action
- Please remember that if you are a prepaid user, the shipping fees will be added back to your “Value Limit” after five (5) working days once the LSP confirms that the shipment hasn’t been picked up or if the AWB becomes void.
- Once you click on “Cancel Shipment”, a pop-up will appear on your screen asking for your confirmation and to provide the reason for cancellation.
- Please select the reason for cancellation from the drop down provided and select “Yes” to confirm cancellation.
- You can select the “No” to discontinue the cancellation of your shipment.
- Once the cancellation is performed, the LSP will be notified by an email and the status of the shipment will be changed to “Cancellation Initiated”.
- If there is no movement in the shipment for 5 working days from the date of booking or if the AWB has become void, the shipment will be marked as “Cancelled”.
- Please remember that the shipments that are cancelled must not be handed over to LSP.
- Any process violation on EGS platform may lead to suspension of your EGS account without further reference to you.
