How will this work?
Bombino will provide pickup service under EGS and handover your items to India Post for delivery to destination country.

22nd Jul,2021: Important update: Changes in European Union VAT rules w.e.f 1st July 2021

This is in reference with our AB post dated 10 th September 2020 wherein we had communicated about the changes to VAT import regulations for the UK and EU in 2021.

Further, note that for eBay orders placed after 1 July 2021, where eBay has collected import VAT on your shipment into the EU (up to a consignment value of €150), eBay’s IOSS (Import One-Stop Shop) number will be available.

To offer you a smooth shipping experience, eBay Global Shipping (“EGS”) will pass on eBay’s IOSS number for shipments to EU electronically to the selected logistic service provider for consignments up to a value of €150 with effect from 22 nd July 2021.

It is important that you follow the below mentioned Do’s and Don’ts while booking shipments to EU and UK on EGS.

Do’s:

  • Ensure correct value of goods in the invoice: The value of the goods on the invoice and airwaybill (“AWB”) must match the value of your eBay transaction order.
  • Proof of Purchase: Send the copy of your eBay transaction order/proof of purchase with your shipment to the logistic service provider.
  • Description of Goods: Ensure that the item description in the AWB and invoice is simple and precise so that custom authorities are able to identify the goods.

Don’ts:

  • Multiple orders under one AWB: The consolidation of multiple orders under one AWB will not be accepted.
  • Multiple line items under one order: Orders with more than one line item cannot be split and booked under more than one AWB.
  • Prohibited/Restricted goods: All goods falling under prohibited category are excluded from IOSS number arrangement. eBay will not collect import VAT on such goods and therefore, do not share the IOSS number for such goods.
  • B2C Shipment: The shipment should be a B2C shipment (i.e. you are selling products to end consumers).

19th Jul,2021: URGENT ACTION NEEDED: Mandatory fields to be updated on ICEGATE and EGS Platform

Dear Seller,

 

As you are aware that Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs vide its notification dated February 27, 2019 has made the Authorized Dealer (“AD”) code mandatory for shipping through Courier Shipping Bill (“CSB”) -V. There have been further regulatory changes in Express Cargo Clearance System for exporting shipments via CSB-V through courier mode.

 

Per the aforesaid notification, exporters/sellers are expected to register/update their AD code and bank account number (used for foreign remittances) under their accounts (“ICEGATE accounts”) on www.icegate.gov.in

 

We therefore, request you to complete the following two activities at the earliest for smooth processing of your shipments:

 

  • Register/update your AD code and bank account number (used in foreign remittances) in your ICEGATE accounts. Click here to access an advisory for Authorized Dealer Code Bank Account Registration on ICEGATE. 
  • Update your AD code and AD code document on eBay Global Shipping (“EGS”) platform www.ebayglobalshipping.com . Please note that your AD code on EGS platform must match with the AD code updated on ICEGATE.

 

We recommend you keep the below pointers in mind while you update your AD code on ICEGATE:

 

  • Register your AD codes at all ports in India (eg. DEL, BLR, BOM, MAA, AMD), since your shipments may be routed via any port basis logistic service provider’s preference.
  • Only 1 (one) AD code can be registered at each clearance port. However, the same AD code can be registered at multiple ports.
  • Customs turnaround time for approval of registration is minimum 48 working hours.

As you may know that EU is imposing ICS2.0 to further regulate the provisions of complete and accurate customs data in order to optimize security and safety screening, combat counterfeiting and piracy, prevent unfair competition and ensure full collection of duties and taxes.

Kindly note the following guidelines from DHL Express especially for consignments headed to EU & UK:

  • Ensure correct value of goods in the invoice: Your invoice must have the correct value of goods. The value of the goods on the invoice and airwaybill must be the same as per your eBay transaction order. 
  • Proof of Purchase: Please send copy of your eBay transaction order/Proof of Purchase (“POP”) with your shipment. 
  • Upload the POP: Please ensure the POP is uploaded on the DHL URL: https://dhl-ecom.com/3c/signin.aspx
  • Failure to upload POP: If you fail upload the POP, there may be a delay in delivery or return by DHL Express.

  • Ensure correct value of goods in the invoice – The customs (especially EU & UK) are very focused on the valuation of goods. It is pertinent to mention that your invoice must have the correct value of goods. Please ensure that value of the goods on the invoice and airwaybill are same as per your eBay transaction order. DHL Express requires you to send copy of your eBay transaction order with your shipment for smooth custom clearance.

 

Packages with inaccurate descriptions or incorrect value of goods may delay custom clearance process and attract fines by the relevant customs authorities. It is likely that the shipments may be refused/returned to originating country at shipper’s cost by the logistic carrier.

It has been a great journey so far and we believe it will only get better in the coming years. Effective 15th January 2020, the bulk booking feature has gone live on the ebay Global Shipping portal. This feature will enable you to have a smooth experience while shipping all your bulk orders.

 

What is Bulk Booking-

 

Bulk booking feature can be used if you have multiple shipments to book. Through this feature, you can book multiple shipments at one go. The bulk shipment feature will allow you to save time and the hassle of booking shipments manually by entering package details in one by one.

 

How does it work?

 

The bulk shipping tool will automatically download your sold orders in a CSV file. You can then enter the required details in the file which you have downloaded (For e.g. parcel dimensions, logistic partner) and upload your orders by clicking on the “upload orders” button. Once the orders are uploaded, you can select the item you wish to book by simply clicking on the book shipment button.

Note- Kindly enter all the details in the CSV file. In case any field is left blank, you will receive an error post uploading the CSV file and the details then will have to be re-entered.

  • Your time is precious, so it is far more efficient to upload all of your orders in one go rather than manually booking the orders one by one.

2. CSB V mode of shipping on EGS

 Given that the Express Cargo Clearance System (ECCS) is live, all export consignments through courier are required to be shipped via CSB V mode.

Effective 26th November 2020, CSB V will be the shipping mode on eBay global shipping and CSB IV /Regular option of booking shipments  will not be available .

 

For shipping via CSB V mode, you need to submit the following in eBay Global Shipping portal. 

  1. LUT /Bond /GSTIN Invoice 

  2. AD Code no to be updated in the User profile page

  3. AD Code letter from your bank 

  4. IEC

  5. SLI (CSB V requirement when shipping via FedEx)

 

For the LSP FedEx , it is mandatory for the upload of correctly filled SLI in Excel format along with the rest of the documents.

We are committed to improve your shipping experience on eBay Global Shipping platform (“EGS”) and with this aim, we are happy to inform you that we have revamped the Account Opening Registration Page. PFB updates-

Personal Settings:

When you click on your user profile you will be directed to the Personal Settings page. Two new fields have been added as below -

  1. Select Form of Organization: Kindly select the appropriate option from the dropdown. The value selected will reflect the respective document fields on the KYC/Common Documents tab.

 

  1. PAN: Kindly enter a valid PAN no.

 

Pickup Addresses:

This page displays all the pickup addresses that you have added. You can add a new address by clicking on the Add Address button. The section adjacent to the address specifies whether the LSPs have Approved/Disapproved the address with subsequent remarks (if any). 

If the address is disapproved, you will be able to view the reason for disapproval in the remark column as shown in the screenshot below-

 

KYC/Common Documents:

This page displays the related document fields with respect to the form of organization selected on the Personal Settings tab. The below screenshot refers to a seller who has selected Company as his form of organization.

An additional option has been provided to upload the AD code on the bank letter head.

 

After uploading the necessary documents, kindly click on the Submit button to submit the documents. Once the documents are submitted the tab will be disabled and you will not be able to re-upload the documents.

 

Logistic Partners:

This page displays all the Logistic Service Providers (LSP) associated with EGS portal.

Kindly click on the checkbox associated with LSPs and upload the respective documents and click on the Apply button in order to apply for the account opening process. The documents submitted on the KYC/Common Documents tab will be displayed in a disabled field for all the LSPs. 

 

 

Each document will have a Status attribute which will display the current status of the document along with the date. 

 

For E.g. The status of a document could be as follows - 

  1. Uploaded: This indicates that the you have uploaded the document.

  2. Approved: This indicates that the LSP has approved the document.

  3. Disapproved: This indicates that the LSP has disapproved the document.

  4. N.A: This indicates that no action has been taken against the document.

 

Each document will have a Remarks attribute which will display the remarks from the LSPs.

You can view the current status of the approval process to the extreme right of the LSPs name on the accordion bar.

The status of the approval process will be as follows - 

  1. Pending

  2. Approved

  3. Disapproved    

 

The Below screenshot refers to a seller who has successfully applied for an account opening request for Aramex.

Dear Seller,

 

As per the customs notification “Public notice no. 24/2020 issued, vide C No. VIII (12)/ACE/Tech/PN/06/2020-21 dated 29.07.2020” ECCS is live in Delhi port for CSB V & IV  from August 2020.

To ensure activation of your DHL eCommerce account and seamless clearance of your export  shipments, we request you to submit the following details in soft copy to the DHL ecommerce Account manager , with the EGS team in CC .

 

For activation via  CSB V  , seller has to submit

1.LUT /Bond  or a letter on the company letter head stating seller agrees to submit the Invoice with GST payment

2 AD Code

 

For activation via CSB IV , seller has to submit

1. LUT /Bond  or a letter on the company letter head stating seller agrees to submit the Invoice with GST payment

2. AD code is not mandatory ( However we strongly recommend to have AD code handy for CSB IV shipments incase if its required in future as per regulatory guideline)

 

If the above details are not shared with the LSP, you could see an error while booking your shipments.

For Shipments booked via CSB IV please note :

  • GST Invoice needs to be submitted with every shipment booked along with the AWB to DHL eCommerce .
  • GST invoice should be stamped and signed .
  • GST invoice will be available for download via an email from DHL eCommerce with the handover information.

The disruption and uncertainty in the global cargo industry has increased the cost of Logistic Service Providers (LSP) for their services.  Therefore, DHL Express and FedEx Express have implemented the following temporary surcharge on all shipments effective April 1, 2020 until further notice.​

1. Resolution Center: Our main aim here is to make sure all your issues are resolved within the
stipulated time. Please note the below

  • Initiate dispute TAB - We have created a dispute Tab which makes it easier to open the specific case related dispute.
  • View ticket Status - The Ticket status helps you to view the current status of your dispute
  • Escalation Tab – For the disputes open beyond the TAT, the option is now available for escalation

2. Buyer info edit:

  • The option to edit the “Buyer name” in the Buyer info while booking the shipment.
  • No requirement of whitelisting approval required for editing the buyer name.

Step 1: You will get 2 options- 1) Initiate Dispute 2) View ticket status. You can click on the dispute which
best described the issue you are facing. Enter the AWB no. and proceed to initiate a dispute.

Step 2: Click on view ticket status dropdown to view the status of your ticket. We have categorized your
disputes as per the below folders. Now you can track the status of your case by clicking on the individual
folders-
Brief description of the folders -
Pending for ebay/LSP - Once you initiate a dispute the case will reflect under “Pending for ebay/LSP”.
Pending for my action In case any information is required by the Logistic Partner or eBay, the case will
be assigned back to you and the same will reflect in the “Pending for my action’ folder.
Overdue Cases We have set a TAT for resolving each case. Once the case has crossed the TAT, the
cases will reflect in your “Overdue” folder.
Escalated Cases - Once the case is overdue and in case you are not receiving any satisfactory response,
an escalation button will be available against the case in your overdue folder. You can click on escalate
in order to escalate that case. Once you click on the escalate button, the cases will reflect in your
“Escalated” folder.
Pending for claims 30 Days In case any claim for the Product value needs to be settled, the same will
reflect in the “Pending for claims 30 Days” folder.
Pending for Freight Credit - In case any freight charges need to be credited from ebay global shipping,
the same will reflect in the “Pending for Freight Credit” folder.

Points to be noted while raising a dispute

  1. Raise all the request in the correct dispute Box so that we can try to resolve your concerns at the earliest.
  2. Mention all necessary details while raising a dispute and give a brief about your requests while raising a dispute.
  3. Share necessary screenshots while raising a dispute.
  4. For damaged shipments, kindly share supporting images of the damage done internally and externally.
  5. Check the “Pending for my Action” folder on a timely basis and revert with the requested details (if any) within 48 hours so that the issue can be addressed at the earliest.

31st May,2019: Regarding valid description of goods along with HS (Harmonized System) code

Dear Seller,

The customs authorities at Origin, Destination and Transiting countries insist on the valid description of goods along with HS (Harmonized System) code to be included along with shipping documents.

HS Code is an internationally accepted product coding system used by all countries globally to classify all imported and exported goods. When you are looking to ship a product overseas, it is a legal requirement that you have valid goods description with an HS code mentioned in the shipping documentation. When goods and offerings are recognized via valid goods descriptions including their specific HS codes, which are globally acceptable, the identification of goods becomes easy, and resultant possibilities of misinterpretation tend to reduce. Valid goods descriptions and HS Codes are mandatory to avoid delays, detention, possible fines, additional storage costs or repatriation in transit or at the destination.

You are hereby requested to comply with the requirement and have the correct information (Commodity Description and HS Code) at the time of booking the shipment. This will ensure complete export documentation with relevant customs authorities correctly.

Dear Seller,

Greetings from eBay!!!

This is with regards to the Aramex pick up model. Going forward, it’s imperative to have an updated Pick up address & Seller Contact details while booking shipments through the eBay Global Shipping Portal as currently, we are receiving few cases where our Pick up partner is not in a position to contact the seller which is leading to missing/Delayed pick up. We request you to kindly update the below details for a smooth transition of pickups -

 

  1. Complete Pick up Address (Including Landmark & Pin codes)
  2. Contact name & Contact Number (For Mobile – complete 10 digits number & for land line complete 13 number e.g. - +9122448800000)

 

Please note there should be at least 02 hours gap from the Booking till the actual pick up timings, this is critical because the Pickup team will action pick up within one hour from the time of Booking unless they don’t mention pickup time in particular.

30th Jan,2019: Changes will be applied on EGS Shipping Platform

Dear Seller,

Please be informed that effective from 31st Jan’2019, the following changes will be applied on the shipping platform www.ebayglobalshipping.com

        1. The Auto AWB sync will be applied on all the Shipments booked through eBay Global Shipping.

As per the current process on www.ebayglobalshipping.com, once an eBay sold order is booked for shipment and the AWB is generated, sellers have the option to update the details of the AWB either manually or through the Auto update function on their eBay account.

Kindly note that applying the mandate of automating the AWB update on your eBay account will help eliminate typo errors and will also help save the time taken to do the manual update on several orders at one time.

  1. Buyer info edit option will no longer be available on the shipping platform.

The checkout address of the buyer on the eBay site where the transaction was completed will be applicable when booking the shipment on the Shipping Platform.
